Tour Itinerary
12:00 pm – Departure from Paracas
Meet at the JD Adventure Travel office in Paracas and board the shared tourist transport for the journey to Ica. The drive takes approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on traffic and local road conditions.
1:15 pm – Arrival at Culture Pisco Winery
Arrive at Culture Pisco, where you will begin a guided visit to learn about the traditional production of Peruvian pisco and wine. Discover the basic production process, local techniques and the role of vineyards in Ica’s cultural heritage.
1:30 pm – Pisco & Wine Tasting
Enjoy a guided tasting of selected pisco and wine varieties produced in the region. Your host will explain the characteristics of the different products and the traditions behind Ica’s wine and pisco culture.
2:00 pm – Lunch at the Winery
After the tasting, enjoy free time for lunch at the winery. Lunch is not included and can be ordered directly from the available menu.
3:10 pm – Departure for Cachiche
After lunch, continue towards Cachiche, a traditional area of Ica known for its local legends and cultural history.
3:25 pm – Brief Visit to Cachiche
Enjoy a short stop to discover the atmosphere of Cachiche, take photographs and learn about the stories traditionally associated with this part of Ica.
3:50 pm – Transfer to Huacachina Oasis
Continue to Huacachina, one of Peru’s best-known desert destinations, surrounded by enormous sand dunes.
4:10 pm – Arrival at Our Huacachina Office
Upon arrival, stop briefly at our local office. Guests will have time to use the toilets, prepare for the desert activity and leave any unnecessary belongings before continuing to the dunes.
4:30 pm – Walk to the Dune Buggy Departure Area
Walk across the sand to the designated buggy departure area. Comfortable footwear is recommended, as part of the access is on soft desert sand.
5:00 pm – Dune Buggy & Sandboarding Adventure
Board the shared dune buggy for an approximately 1-hour desert experience. Ride across the spectacular Huacachina dunes with several stops along the route for photographs and sandboarding.
Towards the end of the experience, weather and seasonal conditions permitting, enjoy views of the sunset over the desert dunes before returning towards Huacachina.
6:00 pm – Return to Huacachina Office
After the buggy experience, walk back to our Huacachina office and collect your belongings.
6:10 pm – Choose Where to Finish Your Tour
At this point, you may choose between two options:
- Finish in Huacachina: Ideal if you are staying in Ica or Huacachina or continuing your journey independently.
- Return to Paracas: Rejoin the shared transport for the return journey to Paracas.
7:15–7:30 pm – Approximate Arrival in Paracas
Guests choosing the return service will arrive back at the JD Adventure Travel office in Paracas at approximately 7:15–7:30 pm, depending on traffic and local conditions.
All times are approximate and may vary slightly depending on traffic, winery operations, group pace and desert conditions.

Important Information
- Meeting Time: Please arrive at the JD Adventure Travel office in Paracas at least 10 minutes before the 12:00 pm departure to complete check-in.
- Shared Group Service: This experience operates on a shared group basis, including transport, the winery visit and the Huacachina dune buggy activity.
- Tour Duration: The complete experience lasts approximately 7 hours, depending on traffic, group pace, winery operations and desert conditions.
- Tourist Entrance Fees: Any applicable tourist entrance fees are not included and must be paid separately during the tour.
- Lunch: Free time is provided for lunch at the winery. Lunch is not included and is paid directly by each guest.
- Pisco & Wine Tasting: The tasting is organised by the winery and may vary depending on availability. Alcoholic beverages are served only to guests of legal drinking age.
- Huacachina Access: Reaching the dune buggy departure area requires a short walk across soft sand, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
- Dune Buggy & Sandboarding: The desert activity lasts approximately 1 hour and includes dune buggy riding and recreational sandboarding. Guests must follow the driver’s safety instructions throughout the experience.
- Sunset: Sunset views are subject to weather, season and desert conditions and cannot be guaranteed on every departure.
- What to Bring: We recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, comfortable clothing, closed footwear and a light jacket for the evening.
- End of Tour Options: Guests may choose to finish the tour in Huacachina or return with the group to Paracas. Please confirm your preferred option before or during the tour.
- Return to Paracas: Guests choosing the return service should expect to arrive in Paracas at approximately 7:15–7:30 pm, depending on traffic.
- Onward Connections: If you have a bus departure, transfer or another activity after the tour, please inform us in advance so we can advise whether your schedule allows sufficient connection time.
- Operational Changes: The order of visits may be adjusted due to traffic, winery schedules, local restrictions or desert operating conditions.
Cancellation Policy
- Free Cancellation: Cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure to receive a full refund.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable.
- No-Shows: Guests who do not arrive at the JD Adventure Travel office by the confirmed check-in time are considered a no-show and are not eligible for a refund.
- Late Arrival: The tour departs at 12:00 pm. Guests arriving late may miss the departure, and refunds may not be available.
- Winery Operations: The winery visit is subject to local operating schedules. If the selected winery becomes unavailable, a suitable alternative may be arranged.
- Dune Buggy Conditions: The Huacachina desert activity may be modified or suspended due to unsafe weather, dune conditions or instructions from local authorities. Where applicable, we will offer a suitable alternative, rescheduling or a refund for the affected activity.
- Sunset Conditions: Sunset views depend on weather and seasonal conditions. The absence of a visible sunset does not qualify for a refund if the desert activity operates normally.
- Itinerary Changes: The order or timing of visits may be adjusted due to traffic, group pace, winery schedules or operational conditions. Minor changes do not normally qualify for a refund.
- Onward Connections: Guests with independently booked buses, transfers or other activities after the tour should inform us in advance. Missed onward services caused by personal delays or independently arranged connections are not refundable.
