About JD Adventure Travel

JD Adventure Travel is a legally established Peru-based tour operator specialising in day tours, shore excursions, private tours, multi-day journeys and tailor-made travel experiences.

Within Peru, our tours and travel services are primarily operated directly by JD Adventure Travel and our local team.

For selected services and destinations outside Peru, including the Galápagos Islands, Chile, Argentina and other international destinations, certain elements of the journey may be delivered in collaboration with carefully selected local partners and third-party suppliers.

When a booking is made directly with JD Adventure Travel, we remain the principal point of contact for the traveller throughout the booking process and for the coordination of all services included in the confirmed itinerary.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made directly with JD Adventure Travel through our official website, WhatsApp, email, personalised payment links or direct communication with our team.

They apply to travel services offered by JD Adventure Travel, including day tours, private tours, shore excursions, aerial tours, multi-day journeys, overland programmes, tailor-made journeys and selected international travel packages.

Certain tours or travel services may also be offered through third-party booking platforms such as Viator, GetYourGuide and other authorised travel marketplaces. Where a booking is made through one of these platforms, the payment, cancellation, refund and booking conditions of the relevant platform will apply in accordance with that platform’s own Terms & Conditions.

Although JD Adventure Travel may operate or provide the tour or service, bookings made through third-party platforms must be managed in accordance with the conditions of the platform through which the booking was made.

Some tours, destinations or travel services may also be subject to additional specific conditions due to supplier requirements, transport regulations, entrance ticket restrictions or operational considerations. Where applicable, these specific conditions will be communicated to the traveller before or at the time of booking and will apply together with these general Terms & Conditions.

The booking and confirmation process varies according to the type of travel service selected.

Day Tours, Private Day Tours and Shore Excursions
All one-day tours, including regular day tours, private day tours, shore excursions, marine tours and aerial experiences, may be booked directly through the JD Adventure Travel website.

A booking is considered confirmed once the required payment has been successfully completed and the traveller has received a booking confirmation from JD Adventure Travel.

Multi-Day Tours, Overland Journeys and Travel Packages
Multi-day tours, overland journeys and travel packages may include several travel components, such as flights, accommodation, trains, entrance tickets, transfers or other services, and are therefore subject to availability before final confirmation.

Once the itinerary, availability and final price have been confirmed, JD Adventure Travel will provide the traveller with a personalised payment link or payment instructions.

The booking is considered confirmed once the required deposit or payment has been received and JD Adventure Travel has issued the corresponding booking confirmation.

Tailor-Made Journeys
Tailor-made journeys are prepared according to the traveller's individual requirements and are therefore subject to personalised planning, availability and quotation.

The booking is considered confirmed only after the proposed itinerary has been accepted, the required payment or deposit has been received, and JD Adventure Travel has issued the final booking confirmation.

A quotation, enquiry, itinerary proposal or conversation by email, WhatsApp or any other communication channel does not constitute a confirmed booking or guarantee availability until the required payment has been received and confirmation has been issued by JD Adventure Travel.

Payment requirements at JD Adventure Travel depend on the type of tour, travel programme and services included in the reservation. All applicable payment amounts, deadlines and conditions will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

One-Day Tours and Excursions
All one-day tours, including regular day tours, private excursions, cruise shore excursions, marine tours and aerial experiences, require 100% payment at the time of booking. Reservations are normally completed through our official website, although direct booking arrangements may also be available where agreed with JD Adventure Travel.

Multi-Day Tours, Overland Journeys and Travel Packages
Multi-day tours, overland journeys and travel packages may include accommodation, domestic flights, railway journeys, entrance tickets, private transportation and other travel services. All arrangements are subject to availability and confirmation before the reservation is finalised.

Once the itinerary, availability and final price have been confirmed, travellers may choose one of the following payment options:

• Full Payment: Pay 100% of the total booking value at the time of confirmation.
• Deposit Payment: Pay a 20% non-refundable deposit to secure the reservation, with the remaining 80% balance due no later than 30 days before the scheduled departure date.

Tailor-Made Journeys
Tailor-made journeys are individually designed according to the traveller's requirements and may include flights, accommodation, transport, guided experiences, admission tickets and other services. Once the final itinerary, price and availability have been confirmed, the traveller may pay the full amount or secure the booking with a 20% non-refundable deposit, with the outstanding balance payable no later than 30 days before departure.

Higher Deposits and Non-Refundable Travel Components
Certain travel arrangements, including airline tickets, railway tickets, Machu Picchu entrance tickets, accommodation and other services subject to advance payment or restrictive supplier conditions, may require a higher deposit or full advance payment. Where applicable, JD Adventure Travel will explain the required amount and relevant conditions before requesting payment.

Bookings Made Within 30 Days of Departure
For multi-day tours, overland journeys, travel packages and tailor-made programmes booked within 30 days of the scheduled departure date, full payment is required at the time of confirmation, unless an alternative arrangement has been expressly agreed in writing.

Outstanding Balances and Late Payments
All outstanding balances must be received by the agreed payment deadline. If payment is not received on time, JD Adventure Travel may treat the reservation as cancelled, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been approved in writing. Any applicable cancellation charges will be determined in accordance with the Cancellation Policy and the conditions communicated at the time of booking.

Payment Methods and Confirmation
Payments may be completed through the authorised methods provided by JD Adventure Travel, including secure online checkout, personalised payment links or bank transfers where agreed. Further details regarding accepted currencies, payment security and banking charges are provided in Section 05 — Payment Methods.

JD Adventure Travel primarily quotes and processes payments in US Dollars (USD), which is the official currency used for online bookings through our website. Alternative payment arrangements in Euros (EUR), British Pounds Sterling (GBP) or Peruvian Soles (PEN) may be available upon request, subject to the conditions outlined below.

Online Payments for One-Day Tours
For one-day tours and excursions, payments made directly through the official JD Adventure Travel website are processed exclusively in US Dollars (USD), using the payment options available at checkout. Online card transactions are processed through our authorised payment gateway, Izipay.

Multi-Day Tours and Tailor-Made Travel
For multi-day tours, overland journeys, cruise-related travel programmes and tailor-made itineraries, JD Adventure Travel may provide personalised secure payment links after the itinerary, availability, applicable deposit and final price have been confirmed.

Payments in Euros (EUR) and British Pounds Sterling (GBP)
Travellers who prefer to pay in Euros (EUR) or British Pounds Sterling (GBP) may request an alternative payment arrangement through a personalised secure payment link provided by JD Adventure Travel. The applicable exchange rate, converted amount and payment conditions will be confirmed before the transaction is completed.

Payments in Peruvian Soles (PEN)
Payments in Peruvian Soles (PEN) may be accepted upon request for one-day tours and excursions paid directly at our office in Peru. This option is subject to prior confirmation and does not change the USD currency used for online checkout payments.

Bank Transfers
Domestic or international bank transfers may be accepted by prior agreement, particularly for corporate reservations, travel agencies and large group bookings. JD Adventure Travel will provide the relevant banking instructions and invoice where applicable. Bank transfers may take longer to process than online card payments.

Banking and Currency Conversion Charges
Any bank charges, intermediary bank fees or currency conversion fees applied by the traveller's bank or payment provider are the responsibility of the traveller, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payment Security
For security purposes, JD Adventure Travel does not request customers to send complete payment card numbers or card security codes by email, WhatsApp or other messaging channels. Card payments must be completed through our authorised checkout or secure payment links. JD Adventure Travel does not receive or store complete payment card numbers or card security codes.

Payment Confirmation
A payment will be considered received only once the required funds have been successfully processed and confirmed by JD Adventure Travel. Booking confirmation remains subject to the applicable deposit, payment deadlines and reservation conditions described in these Terms & Conditions.

JD Adventure Travel understands that travel plans may change. Cancellation conditions vary according to the type of tour or travel service booked. The applicable conditions will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

One-Day Tours, Private Day Tours and Shore Excursions
Regular day tours, private day tours, marine tours and one-day shore excursions may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable.

Aerial Tours and Nazca Lines Experiences
Tours involving flights, including Nazca Lines flights and Nazca Lines shore excursions, may be cancelled for a full refund up to 7 days before the scheduled tour date. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the scheduled tour date are non-refundable due to advance aircraft reservations, passenger allocation and supplier commitments.

Multi-Day Tours, Overland Journeys and Tailor-Made Travel Programmes
The following cancellation charges are calculated as a percentage of the total confirmed booking value, rather than solely on the deposit or outstanding balance:

30 days or more before departure: The 20% booking deposit is strictly non-refundable. Any additional amount paid will be refunded. The 20% cancellation charge already includes applicable non-refundable supplier costs, and no additional deductions will be made for the same cancellation.

20–29 days before departure: 50% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

10–19 days before departure: 75% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

9 days or less before departure: 100% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

Any payments already received will be applied towards the applicable cancellation charge. Where the amount paid exceeds that charge, the difference will be refunded in accordance with these Terms & Conditions. The applicable cancellation percentage represents the total cancellation charge, including non-refundable supplier costs, and no additional cancellation charges will be applied.

Non-Refundable Third-Party Services
Certain itineraries may include flights, railway tickets, entrance tickets, accommodation, permits or other services supplied by third parties with restrictive cancellation conditions. Such supplier costs are included within the applicable cancellation charges stated above and will not be deducted separately or charged twice. Any exceptional booking conditions must be clearly disclosed and agreed before the booking is confirmed, subject to applicable consumer protection law.

No-Shows and Late Arrivals
Failure to arrive at the agreed meeting point at the confirmed meeting time is considered a no-show. No-shows are 100% non-refundable, subject to applicable law. Travellers are responsible for arriving at the designated meeting point with sufficient time before departure.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist travellers who are delayed; however, we cannot guarantee that a tour, flight, boat, train or other scheduled service can be held, delayed or rescheduled. Missing a service due to late arrival does not normally entitle the traveller to a refund.

How to Cancel
Cancellation requests must be submitted directly to JD Adventure Travel through an official communication channel, such as email or WhatsApp. The effective cancellation date will be determined by when JD Adventure Travel receives the request, using the local time applicable to the booked service.

Refund Processing
Any refund due following cancellation will be processed in accordance with the refund provisions of these Terms & Conditions, including applicable processing times, original payment methods and any lawfully permitted deductions.

Cancellation by JD Adventure Travel
If JD Adventure Travel is required to cancel a confirmed tour or travel service for reasons within our reasonable control, the traveller will be offered one of the following options:

• An alternative tour or travel service of similar value;
• The option to reschedule the booking, subject to availability; or
• A full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled service.

The traveller may choose whether to accept an alternative or rescheduled service. Where an accepted alternative is of lower value, the applicable price difference will be refunded.

JD Adventure Travel will notify the traveller as soon as reasonably possible and make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate solution.

Force Majeure and Circumstances Beyond Our Control
JD Adventure Travel may be required to cancel, delay, modify or interrupt a tour or travel programme due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These may include:

• Severe weather or unsafe sea conditions;
• Earthquakes, floods or other natural disasters;
• Strikes, protests or civil disturbances;
• Road, airport, railway or port closures;
• Government restrictions or decisions by competent authorities;
• Public health emergencies, epidemics or pandemics;
• Significant airline, railway or maritime disruptions;
• War, terrorism or political instability; or
• Other extraordinary circumstances preventing the safe or lawful operation of the service.

The available arrangements will depend on the type of tour, the circumstances of the disruption, the services already delivered and the booking conditions communicated to the traveller.

One-Day Tours and Shore Excursions
If an ordinary one-day tour or shore excursion cannot operate before departure due to force majeure, such as unsafe weather conditions, port closures or restrictions imposed by the relevant authorities, the traveller will be offered the following options:

• Reschedule the tour, subject to availability;
• Accept a suitable alternative tour; or
• Receive a full refund of the amount paid.

Where a particular excursion includes advance-issued tickets or other services with specific non-refundable conditions, these conditions will be communicated before booking and may apply only where permitted by applicable law.

If a cruise ship does not call at its scheduled port and an ordinary one-day shore excursion cannot take place, JD Adventure Travel will provide a 100% refund in accordance with the specific cruise-related cancellation provisions.

Multi-Day Tours, Overland Journeys and Tailor-Made Programmes
Multi-day travel programmes may involve flights, railway and bus tickets, accommodation, admission tickets, permits and other services booked or paid for in advance.

If a multi-day journey must be cancelled before departure due to force majeure, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to offer rescheduling, an alternative travel programme or a refund of the amounts recoverable from the relevant suppliers.

Certain prepaid services may be non-refundable under the conditions confirmed at the time of booking. These may include airline tickets, railway tickets, bus tickets, hotel reservations, Machu Picchu entrance tickets, permits and other advance-purchased services.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to recover eligible payments and minimise financial losses. Any refund will take account of recoverable amounts, permitted non-refundable supplier costs and applicable legal requirements.

Partial Disruptions During a Multi-Day Journey
If an unforeseen event affects only part of an ongoing journey, JD Adventure Travel will seek to continue the remaining itinerary wherever reasonably possible.

For example, if strikes or road closures prevent a scheduled visit to the Sacred Valley during a ten-day journey in Peru, we may offer:

• A suitable alternative excursion or activity;
• Rescheduling of the affected visit, where operationally possible; or
• An applicable refund or price adjustment for the affected service, taking account of recoverable costs and relevant legal requirements.

The cancellation or modification of one activity does not automatically mean that the entire travel programme must be cancelled or refunded.

Major International Disruptions
Where extraordinary circumstances, including a pandemic, armed conflict, government travel restrictions or major transport disruption, prevent travellers from reaching Peru or commencing their confirmed journey, JD Adventure Travel will work with the relevant suppliers to explore rescheduling, travel alternatives and recovery of eligible payments.

Refunds may be affected by non-refundable services already purchased or committed in advance. Any applicable deductions will be explained to the traveller and will remain subject to the booking conditions and mandatory consumer protection rights.

Travel Insurance
JD Adventure Travel requires travellers on applicable multi-day and international travel programmes to obtain suitable travel insurance and strongly recommends comprehensive cover for all passengers.

Travellers should ensure that their policy provides appropriate protection for medical emergencies, cancellations, travel interruptions, transport disruptions and other relevant risks. Coverage for strikes, pandemics, war or other extraordinary circumstances depends on the specific insurance policy and its exclusions.

Specific Tour and Supplier Conditions
Certain excursions and travel programmes may be subject to additional conditions relating to non-refundable tickets, permits, flights, accommodation or other prepaid arrangements. These conditions will be disclosed in the relevant tour description, quotation or booking confirmation before the reservation is finalised.

Customer Assistance and Applicable Rights
JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist affected travellers, coordinate with suppliers, explain available alternatives and provide information about any applicable refund.

Nothing in this section excludes or restricts refund rights or other consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable legislation.

Cruise itineraries may occasionally change due to weather conditions, operational decisions, port restrictions, safety concerns or other circumstances beyond the traveller's or JD Adventure Travel's reasonable control.

Specific Conditions for Cruise-Related Bookings
The following provisions apply to one-day shore excursions, multi-day shore excursions and cruise-related overland programmes. Where applicable, these specific conditions take precedence over the general cancellation provisions contained in these Terms & Conditions, subject to mandatory consumer protection legislation and any additional conditions disclosed and agreed before booking.

One-Day Shore Excursions — Ship Does Not Call at Port
If the cruise ship does not call at the scheduled port and the traveller is consequently unable to join a confirmed ordinary one-day shore excursion, JD Adventure Travel will provide a 100% refund of the amount paid, provided the service has not commenced.

Excursions involving advance-issued tickets or other specifically non-refundable components may be subject to additional conditions disclosed and agreed before booking, where permitted by applicable law.

Changes to the Port of Call
If the cruise ship changes its scheduled port of call, JD Adventure Travel may offer an alternative shore excursion at another port where we operate, subject to availability and local operating conditions. The traveller may choose whether to accept the alternative.

Where an alternative excursion is accepted, the amount already paid may be applied towards the replacement service. Any price difference will be communicated and agreed before the new arrangement is confirmed.

Changes to Arrival or Departure Times
If the cruise ship arrives later than scheduled, departs earlier or reduces the time available in port, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to adapt, shorten or reschedule the excursion while prioritising passenger safety and timely return to the vessel.

Where the confirmed service cannot be provided, any alternative arrangement or applicable refund will be assessed in accordance with the booking conditions and relevant consumer protection requirements.

Multi-Day Shore Excursions and Overland Programmes
Multi-day shore excursions and overland programmes may include flights, accommodation, railway and bus tickets, admission tickets, transfers and other services purchased or reserved in advance.

If a cruise itinerary change or extraordinary event prevents the traveller from joining or completing the confirmed programme, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative itinerary, rescheduling or recovery of eligible amounts from suppliers.

Refunds for Prepaid Travel Components
Any applicable refund will be assessed in accordance with the specific booking conditions communicated before confirmation, the amounts recoverable from suppliers and mandatory consumer protection rights.

Certain advance-purchased services, including airline tickets, railway tickets, bus tickets, hotel reservations, Machu Picchu entrance tickets and permits, may be non-refundable. JD Adventure Travel will make every reasonable effort to recover eligible payments and minimise financial losses.

Any permitted non-refundable costs will be explained to the traveller and will not be deducted more than once.

Alternative Travel Arrangements
Where operationally possible, JD Adventure Travel may propose an alternative itinerary, a different excursion at another port or another suitable travel arrangement. Any material changes to services, inclusions or price will be communicated for the traveller's approval before confirmation.

Return to Ship Guaranteed
JD Adventure Travel is committed to planning and operating its cruise-related excursions with careful consideration of the vessel's scheduled departure and the passenger's required boarding time. This commitment applies to both one-day shore excursions and multi-day cruise-related programmes.

Our objective is to ensure that passengers return to their cruise ship within the required boarding time, while allowing appropriate time for transfers, port procedures and unforeseen operational circumstances.

Missed Ship Departure Caused by JD Adventure Travel
If a passenger misses the cruise ship's departure as a direct result of an error, negligence or operational failure attributable to JD Adventure Travel, we will assume responsibility for arranging and covering the reasonable and necessary expenses required to help the passenger rejoin the vessel at the next feasible port of call where embarkation is authorised.

This assistance may include:

• Suitable transport to the next feasible port of call;
• Necessary accommodation while awaiting onward travel;
• Reasonable meals and essential expenses directly related to the disruption;
• Coordination with the cruise line and relevant port representatives; and
• Assistance with the arrangements and documentation necessary to rejoin the vessel.

The affected passenger will not be required to pay these reasonable and necessary expenses where the missed departure is attributable to JD Adventure Travel.

Rejoining arrangements will be coordinated with the cruise line and remain subject to transport availability, immigration requirements, port restrictions, safety regulations and authorisation from the cruise operator.

Flight Delays or Cancellations Caused by Independent Airlines
Where a cruise-related excursion or multi-day overland programme includes flights operated by an independent airline, an unexpected flight delay, cancellation or disruption may affect the passenger's ability to return to the cruise ship as scheduled.

In such circumstances, JD Adventure Travel will take an active role in assisting the passenger and exploring all reasonably available options to facilitate their return to the vessel, including alternative flights, ground transportation or onward travel to the next feasible port of call.

Our assistance procedures may include:

• Contacting the airline to request alternative flights or rebooking;
• Exploring other available transport options where practical and safe;
• Informing the cruise line and its designated representatives of the disruption;
• Coordinating onward travel, accommodation and other essential arrangements where necessary;
• Maintaining communication with the passenger throughout the disruption; and
• Assisting with requests for reimbursement or support from the airline or relevant travel insurance provider.

JD Adventure Travel will make every reasonable effort to assist the passenger in rejoining the cruise ship as soon as practicable.

Where the disruption is attributable to an independent airline, responsibility for additional expenses, compensation and reimbursement will be determined by the applicable airline conditions, travel insurance coverage and relevant legal obligations, including any separate responsibilities that may apply to JD Adventure Travel as the travel organiser.

Other Circumstances Beyond Our Reasonable Control
Where a missed departure results from unexpected cruise schedule changes, government restrictions, port closures, severe weather or other extraordinary circumstances not attributable to JD Adventure Travel, we will make reasonable efforts to assist the traveller and coordinate with the relevant providers.

Responsibility for additional expenses will depend on the circumstances, the applicable booking conditions and relevant legal requirements.

Travel Insurance Requirement
Passengers undertaking multi-day cruise-related excursions and overland programmes are required to obtain suitable travel insurance before departure. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all passengers, including those participating in one-day shore excursions.

Travellers should ensure that their insurance provides appropriate cover for medical emergencies, flight delays, cancellations, missed connections, travel interruptions and additional accommodation or transport expenses.

Insurance coverage and exclusions vary between policies. Travellers are responsible for checking that their chosen policy provides adequate protection for their itinerary, activities and travel arrangements.

Communication and Passenger Assistance
Travellers should notify JD Adventure Travel promptly of any changes to their cruise schedule, cancelled port calls or circumstances affecting their confirmed arrangements.

Regardless of whether a disruption is caused by JD Adventure Travel or an independent travel supplier, we are committed to providing active assistance, maintaining communication with the cruise line and making every reasonable effort to help passengers rejoin their vessel safely.

Applicable Consumer Rights
Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any statutory rights, remedies or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable legislation.

Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method used for the booking, subject to applicable law and the technical requirements of the payment provider.

Refund Processing Time
JD Adventure Travel will normally arrange and issue an approved refund within 15–20 business days from the date of approval, unless a shorter period is required by applicable law.

This period refers to the time required by JD Adventure Travel to process the refund. Once issued, additional time may be required for the funds to appear in the traveller's account, depending on the bank, card issuer, payment provider or international banking network.

Refund Amounts and Cancellation Charges
The refundable amount will be calculated in accordance with the applicable Cancellation Policy, the conditions confirmed at the time of booking and any mandatory consumer protection requirements.

For voluntary cancellations by the traveller, the applicable cancellation penalties stated in Section 06 already include any relevant non-refundable supplier costs. No additional supplier deductions or cancellation penalties will be charged on top of the applicable percentage, and the same expense will never be deducted twice.

Non-Refundable Third-Party Services
Certain reservations may include airline tickets, railway tickets, accommodation, entrance tickets, permits or other prepaid travel components subject to non-refundable supplier conditions.

For voluntary cancellations, these costs are included within the applicable cancellation penalties and will not be deducted separately.

For cancellations or disruptions caused by force majeure affecting multi-day journeys or cruise-related overland programmes, refunds may depend on amounts recoverable from suppliers and genuinely non-refundable costs, as explained in Sections 07 and 08, subject to applicable law.

Where a confirmed ordinary one-day shore excursion cannot operate because the cruise ship does not call at the scheduled port, the full refund provisions of Section 08 will apply.

Any permitted non-refundable costs must have been disclosed before booking, where applicable, and will be explained to the traveller. No cost will be deducted more than once.

Refund Currency
Refunds will normally be issued in the same currency in which the original payment was received, unless otherwise agreed or required by the payment provider or applicable law. Currency conversion differences may arise where the traveller's bank or card issuer applies its own exchange rate.

Banking and Payment Processing Charges
Bank charges, intermediary bank fees and currency conversion costs imposed by the traveller's financial institution or payment provider may affect the final amount received. Any deductions made directly by JD Adventure Travel will be limited to charges permitted under the agreed booking conditions and applicable law.

International Bank Transfer Refunds
Where the original payment was made by international bank transfer, an approved refund may also be returned by bank transfer. Any applicable bank or intermediary charges will be communicated where reasonably possible and handled in accordance with the agreed terms and applicable law.

Refunds to Alternative Accounts or Travellers
For security and fraud prevention purposes, refunds will normally be returned to the original payer through the original payment method. Requests to refund a different card, bank account or individual will be considered only where appropriate verification has been completed and the arrangement is permitted by applicable payment provider requirements and law.

Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any refund rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.

JD Adventure Travel understands that travel plans may occasionally need to change. We will make reasonable efforts to assist with amendment requests whenever possible.

One-Day Tours
For one-day tours, including private day tours and shore excursions, excluding aerial tours and other services subject to specific supplier conditions, travellers may request a change of date up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability.

Where the requested new date is available and no non-refundable third-party costs have already been incurred, the change may be made without an amendment fee.

Changes requested less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time cannot be guaranteed and may be treated in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy.

Aerial Tours and Nazca Lines Experiences
Aerial tours, including Nazca Lines experiences and Nazca Lines shore excursions, are subject to the amendment, availability and cancellation conditions applicable to the relevant flight operator.

Changes to aerial tours cannot be assumed to follow the standard 24-hour change policy applicable to other one-day tours and may be subject to stricter conditions, additional charges or availability restrictions.

Multi-Day Tours, Overland Journeys and Tailor-Made Travel Programmes
Any request to change a confirmed multi-day booking, including changes to travel dates, passenger names, accommodation, transport, flights, rail services, activities, room arrangements or other elements of the itinerary, is subject to availability and the conditions of the relevant suppliers.

Where a requested change results in additional costs, fare differences, supplier penalties, reissue fees or other charges, these costs will be the responsibility of the traveller.

Certain travel components, including airline tickets, rail tickets, entrance tickets, permits and other services issued in advance, may be non-changeable or non-refundable once confirmed.

Machu Picchu and Restricted Tickets
Passenger names, passport details and any other required personal information must match exactly the travel document provided at the time of booking.

Machu Picchu entrance tickets, selected circuits, rail tickets and other restricted services are subject to official availability and supplier conditions.

Once issued, certain tickets may be strictly non-changeable and non-refundable and may not permit amendments to the passenger name, date, time, circuit or other booking details.

Any amendment involving Machu Picchu or other restricted entrance tickets will therefore be subject to availability and the conditions imposed by the relevant authority or supplier.

Confirmation of Changes
A requested amendment will only be considered confirmed once JD Adventure Travel has approved the change and any applicable additional payment has been received.

Where the requested change cannot be accommodated, the original booking and its applicable conditions will remain in effect unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Changes requested close to the departure date may be subject to additional restrictions and cannot be guaranteed.

JD Adventure Travel is committed to delivering the confirmed travel programme as closely as possible to the itinerary agreed with the traveller.

However, travel operations may occasionally require reasonable adjustments due to circumstances such as weather conditions, traffic, road closures, safety concerns, local authority instructions, supplier availability, transport delays or other operational factors.

Where necessary, JD Adventure Travel may adjust the order of visits, departure times, routes, meeting points, duration of individual stops or other operational elements of the itinerary.

Any such changes will be made in good faith and with the intention of preserving the overall quality, purpose and principal experiences of the confirmed service while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the journey.

Alternative Services
If a confirmed hotel, restaurant, activity, transport provider or other service becomes unavailable, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative of a similar standard or value wherever reasonably possible.

Where a significant substitution results in a material difference in value, JD Adventure Travel will assess the appropriate adjustment or refund, taking into account the services actually provided and any recoverable third-party costs.

Marine Tours, Scenic Flights and Weather-Dependent Activities
Marine excursions, scenic flights and other weather-dependent activities are subject to suitable operating conditions and authorisation from the relevant maritime, aviation or local authorities.

In the event of a partial port closure, JD Adventure Travel may offer an alternative marine route, such as the Islas Blancas, provided that the route remains officially authorised and safe to operate.

If a port is completely closed, a scenic flight is cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions, or the relevant authorities prohibit an activity from operating, the traveller will be offered three options:

• Accept a suitable alternative experience, subject to availability and operational authorisation;
• Reschedule the affected activity for another available date; or
• Receive a full refund for the cancelled activity if the traveller does not wish to accept an alternative or rescheduling.

Where the affected activity forms part of a multi-day travel programme, the refund will apply to the cancelled activity rather than automatically to the entire journey, subject to applicable consumer protection rights.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to preserve the traveller's experience and offer suitable alternatives before processing the requested refund.

Multi-Day Travel Programmes
For multi-day tours, overland journeys and tailor-made programmes, changes to flights, trains, roads, local transport or supplier schedules may require the itinerary to be reorganised.

In such circumstances, JD Adventure Travel will make every reasonable effort to preserve the principal services and experiences included in the confirmed programme and to minimise disruption to the traveller.

Safety, operational feasibility and continuity of the journey will always be prioritised when making necessary changes.

Communication of Significant Changes
Where a significant change becomes known in advance, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to inform the traveller as soon as reasonably practicable and explain the available alternatives.

Minor operational adjustments that do not substantially affect the overall travel experience may be made without prior notice where necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the service.

JD Adventure Travel may arrange certain travel services through independent third-party suppliers, including airlines, railway companies, hotels, transport providers, boat operators, restaurants, local tour operators, tourist attractions and other authorised service providers.

Independent Travel Suppliers
These suppliers may operate under their own terms and conditions, schedules, availability, operational procedures, safety requirements and applicable regulations. Certain services may therefore be subject to circumstances beyond the direct operational control of JD Adventure Travel.

Our Responsibility as Travel Organiser
JD Adventure Travel carefully selects and coordinates with its suppliers and makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the services included in the confirmed itinerary are provided as agreed. We remain responsible for fulfilling our own contractual and legal obligations and do not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Supplier Changes, Delays and Cancellations
If an independent supplier changes, delays, cancels or is unable to provide a confirmed service, JD Adventure Travel will assess the circumstances, assist the traveller and, where reasonably possible, arrange a suitable alternative, reschedule the affected service or determine the applicable refund or remedy under the booking conditions and relevant law.

Supplier-Specific Booking Conditions
Certain travel components, including flights, railway tickets, Machu Picchu entrance tickets, accommodation, permits and other prepaid services, may be subject to specific cancellation, amendment or refund restrictions imposed by the relevant supplier. Any material conditions affecting the traveller's booking will be communicated before the reservation is confirmed.

Non-Refundable Travel Components
Where supplier services have been purchased or committed in advance, applicable non-refundable charges may affect the amount recoverable following cancellation or amendment.

For voluntary cancellations by the traveller, the applicable cancellation penalties set out in Section 06 already include relevant supplier costs. No additional supplier deductions will be applied on top of those penalties.

For force majeure events or supplier-related disruptions, any applicable refund will be assessed in accordance with Sections 07, 08 and 09, the agreed booking conditions and mandatory consumer protection requirements.

The same expense will never be deducted more than once.

Sharing Passenger Information
Where necessary to arrange or deliver confirmed travel services, JD Adventure Travel may provide relevant passenger information to the suppliers involved. We aim to share only the information reasonably necessary for each service. Further details about how personal information is handled, including independent suppliers' responsibilities, are available in our Privacy Policy.

Customer Assistance and Communication
JD Adventure Travel remains the principal point of contact for reservations made directly with us. We will assist travellers in good faith with questions, changes, disruptions or service-related concerns involving suppliers included in the confirmed itinerary.

Applicable Consumer Rights
Nothing in this section is intended to exclude or restrict any contractual responsibilities, statutory remedies or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable legislation.

JD Adventure Travel may arrange flights, rail services, private transfers, shared transport, boats and other forms of transportation as part of a confirmed travel programme.

Transport services are subject to the schedules, operational conditions, baggage policies, safety requirements and terms of the relevant airline, rail company, transport provider or other supplier.

Schedule Changes and Delays
Departure and arrival times may occasionally change due to airline, rail, road, maritime or operational factors outside the direct control of JD Adventure Travel.

Where applicable, transport schedules should be considered subject to final confirmation until the relevant tickets or travel documentation have been issued.

If a schedule change, delay or cancellation affects the confirmed itinerary, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist the traveller, reorganise the programme where possible and minimise disruption to the journey.

For cruise-related travel programmes, where a transport disruption may affect the traveller's ability to rejoin their vessel, JD Adventure Travel will activate its passenger assistance procedures in accordance with the Return to Ship Guaranteed provisions set out in Section 08.

Flights
Airline tickets are subject to the conditions of the issuing airline, including rules relating to baggage, name changes, schedule changes, cancellations, rebooking and refunds.

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that the name and passport details provided for flight reservations are accurate and match their travel documents.

Once issued, certain air tickets may be non-changeable, non-transferable or non-refundable in accordance with the fare conditions of the relevant airline.

Rail Services
Rail tickets, including services used for destinations such as Machu Picchu, are subject to availability and the operating conditions of the relevant rail company.

Train schedules, departure stations, service categories and baggage allowances may change according to operational requirements.

Once issued, certain rail tickets may be subject to restrictions on changes, cancellations or refunds in accordance with the conditions of the relevant rail operator.

Baggage
Baggage allowances vary according to the airline, rail company, vehicle or transport service booked.

The applicable baggage allowance will be communicated in the relevant travel documentation whenever necessary.

Any excess baggage charges or additional transport costs resulting from luggage exceeding the permitted allowance will be the responsibility of the traveller.

Missed Transport Services
Travellers are responsible for arriving at the designated airport, station, terminal or meeting point with sufficient time before departure.

If a flight, train, boat or other scheduled transport service is missed due to the traveller's late arrival, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements where possible, but any rebooking fees, fare differences or additional costs will normally be the responsibility of the traveller.

Our Circuit Priority and Automatic Ticket Purchase
For JD Adventure Travel Machu Picchu tours, Circuit 2 is our first-choice and preferred route, and we will always make every reasonable effort to secure it when official availability permits.

Where Circuit 2 is unavailable, entrance tickets will be purchased according to the following order of preference:

• First choice: Circuit 2;
• Second choice: Circuit 3; and
• Third choice: Circuit 1.

Automatic Ticket Purchase
Machu Picchu entrance tickets are sold through an official booking system used by travellers and travel operators worldwide. Availability is limited and can change rapidly, particularly during peak travel periods.

To secure admission before tickets sell out, JD Adventure Travel will proceed with the purchase of the best available circuit according to the priority stated above as soon as the traveller's reservation has been received, accepted and processed, and the required passenger information and payment are available.

By confirming a booking under these conditions, the traveller authorises JD Adventure Travel to purchase the best officially available circuit in the stated order of priority without requesting additional approval for each alternative.

The assigned circuit and entry time will be communicated to the traveller once the entrance ticket has been successfully issued.

A specific circuit cannot be guaranteed until its official entrance ticket has been issued. If Circuit 2 is unavailable, the purchase of Circuit 3 or Circuit 1 in accordance with this previously disclosed priority does not, by itself, constitute cancellation of the Machu Picchu tour.

Travellers who require a particular circuit as an essential condition of their booking must inform JD Adventure Travel before confirming their reservation and obtain written confirmation of the applicable arrangements.

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to JD Adventure Travel is complete, accurate and up to date.

This includes personal details, passport or identification information, nationality, date of birth, contact details and any other information required for the services included in the booking.

Travel Documents
Travellers are responsible for carrying a valid passport, identification document, visa or other travel documentation required for the destinations included in their itinerary, including any applicable entry or transit requirements.

Where a service requires the original passport or identification document, the traveller must carry the same document used when the booking was made.

JD Adventure Travel will not normally be responsible where a traveller is unable to participate in a service due to missing, expired, incorrect or invalid travel documentation attributable to the traveller, without prejudice to any contractual or legal obligations applicable to JD Adventure Travel.

Accuracy of Personal Information
The traveller is responsible for checking that names, passport numbers, dates of birth and other personal details provided for flights, trains, entrance tickets, permits or other services are correct.

Travellers should also review the personal information shown on booking confirmations, vouchers, tickets or other travel documents and notify JD Adventure Travel promptly if any error is identified.

Incorrect information may result in amendment fees, the need to purchase a new ticket or, in some cases, the inability to use the service.

Any additional costs resulting from incorrect information provided by the traveller will normally be the traveller's responsibility.

Punctuality
Travellers must arrive at the confirmed meeting point, airport, station, terminal or departure location at the time indicated in the travel documentation.

Meeting times and departure times are not always the same, and travellers should follow the instructions provided by JD Adventure Travel.

Certain flights, trains, boats, entrance times and other scheduled services operate to strict departure times and may not be able to wait for late passengers.

Late arrival may result in the loss of a service and will be handled in accordance with the applicable cancellation and no-show conditions.

Health, Dietary and Special Requirements
Travellers should inform JD Adventure Travel in advance of any relevant dietary requirements, allergies, mobility limitations or other special requirements that may affect the delivery of the travel service.

Where weight information is required for flights or other regulated transport services, travellers must provide accurate information when requested.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements where possible, but certain requests may depend on supplier availability or operational limitations.

Behaviour and Local Regulations
Travellers are expected to follow the reasonable instructions of guides, drivers, local authorities, transport providers and service staff, particularly where these instructions relate to safety, timing or local regulations.

JD Adventure Travel reserves the right to take reasonable action where a traveller's behaviour places their own safety, the safety of others or the safe and orderly operation of the service at risk.

Where necessary for safety or operational reasons, participation in a particular activity or service may be restricted or discontinued.

Personal Responsibility
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they are reasonably prepared for the activities included in their itinerary and for reviewing the practical information provided before departure.

Where a traveller chooses not to participate in an included service for personal reasons, no refund will normally be provided for the unused portion unless otherwise agreed.

Some JD Adventure Travel itineraries may involve high-altitude destinations, walking on uneven terrain, long travel days, heat, humidity, marine conditions or other physical demands.

Travellers are responsible for considering whether the selected tour or travel programme is suitable for their general level of health and fitness.

High-Altitude Destinations
Certain destinations included in our travel programmes, including Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Puno, Lake Titicaca and the Colca Canyon, are located at high altitude.

Altitude may affect travellers differently and symptoms can occur even in individuals who are generally fit and healthy.

JD Adventure Travel recommends allowing sufficient time to acclimatise where possible, staying well hydrated, avoiding excessive physical exertion upon arrival and seeking medical advice before travelling if there are any concerns regarding altitude.

Physical Requirements
Some activities may require walking, climbing steps, boarding boats, entering vehicles, navigating uneven surfaces or spending extended periods outdoors.

Travellers should carefully review the description and physical requirements of the selected tour before booking.

Where a tour requires a particular level of fitness or mobility, JD Adventure Travel will provide relevant information whenever possible.

Medical Conditions and Special Requirements
Travellers should inform JD Adventure Travel in advance of any medical, mobility or physical condition that may reasonably affect their participation in the confirmed itinerary or require special assistance.

This information allows us to assess whether reasonable arrangements can be made with the relevant guides, transport providers, hotels or other suppliers.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements where possible, but cannot guarantee that every activity, destination or supplier will be suitable for all travellers.

Medical Advice
JD Adventure Travel does not provide medical advice.

Travellers with concerns regarding altitude, mobility, physical activity, pregnancy, existing medical conditions or any other health-related matter should seek advice from a qualified medical professional before travelling.

Participation During the Tour
For safety reasons, a guide or authorised service provider may recommend that a traveller does not participate in a particular activity where there is a reasonable concern that participation could place the traveller or others at risk.

Any such decision will be made in good faith and with the intention of protecting the safety and wellbeing of the traveller and other participants.

Voluntary Non-Participation
Where a traveller voluntarily chooses not to participate in a confirmed tour or included activity for personal, health, fitness or other individual reasons, no refund will be provided for the unused service, unless otherwise expressly agreed or required by applicable law.

Where participation is restricted by the guide or service provider for safety reasons, any applicable refund or alternative arrangement will be assessed according to the circumstances, the booking conditions and relevant consumer protection requirements.

JD Adventure Travel maintains appropriate business and liability insurance in connection with its tour operations. This cover is intended to respond, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions and limitations of the applicable policy, to certain incidents, errors or omissions for which JD Adventure Travel may be legally responsible.

This insurance is not a personal travel insurance policy for the traveller and does not provide comprehensive protection for the traveller's holiday, personal belongings, medical expenses, trip cancellation or other personal travel risks.

JD Adventure Travel's Responsibility
Where a traveller suffers a loss as a direct result of an error, omission or negligent act by JD Adventure Travel in the organisation or operation of a confirmed service, we will assess the circumstances and provide assistance in accordance with our legal responsibilities, these Terms & Conditions and any applicable insurance cover.

For example, where a flight or other travel service included in a confirmed itinerary is missed as a direct result of an operational, booking or data-handling error attributable to JD Adventure Travel, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the situation and arrange an appropriate solution.

For cruise-related excursions and overland programmes, where an error or operational failure attributable to JD Adventure Travel causes passengers to miss their vessel, our Return to Ship Guaranteed commitment will apply in accordance with Section 08, including our responsibility for reasonable and necessary expenses associated with helping passengers rejoin the cruise ship at the next feasible authorised port of call.

Third-Party Travel Services
Flights, trains, hotels, cruise services and certain other travel components may be provided by independent third-party suppliers.

JD Adventure Travel will carefully arrange and coordinate these services; however, delays, cancellations, schedule changes, technical disruptions, baggage issues or other events caused directly by the relevant airline, rail company, hotel, cruise line or other independent supplier remain subject to that supplier's terms and applicable regulations.

Where such an event occurs, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist the traveller with rebooking, alternative arrangements or any available refund or compensation, but we cannot guarantee reimbursement for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control, without prejudice to any contractual or legal responsibilities applicable to JD Adventure Travel.

Personal Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that every traveller obtains comprehensive travel insurance from the time the booking is confirmed.

Suitable personal travel insurance is required for passengers undertaking multi-day cruise-related excursions and overland programmes, in accordance with Section 08.

Travellers should consider a policy that provides appropriate cover for:

• Trip cancellation and trip interruption;
• Medical treatment and emergency assistance;
• Emergency evacuation and repatriation;
• Flight delays, cancellations and missed connections;
• Cruise itinerary changes and missed ports;
• Lost, delayed or damaged baggage;
• Non-refundable travel expenses;
• Personal liability; and
• Any activities included in the traveller's itinerary.

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that their chosen policy provides sufficient cover for their individual circumstances, destinations and planned activities, taking account of any exclusions or limitations.

Travel Insurance and Refunds
Purchasing travel insurance does not replace or modify JD Adventure Travel's cancellation and refund policies.

Likewise, JD Adventure Travel's cancellation and refund policies should not be considered a substitute for comprehensive personal travel insurance.

Where a loss is not recoverable under these Terms & Conditions, travellers may be able to submit a claim to their own travel insurer, subject to the terms and conditions of their individual policy.

Travel Protection
JD Adventure Travel supports travellers through its booking, cancellation and refund policies, together with its operational liability cover where applicable.

These arrangements are separate from personal travel insurance and should not be understood as providing comprehensive financial or personal travel insurance protection. For this reason, we strongly recommend that all travellers obtain suitable personal travel insurance for their journey.

Luggage allowances vary depending on the type of tour, transport service and destination included in the booking.

Travellers are responsible for complying with the baggage limits communicated for their confirmed itinerary.

One-Day Tours and Private Day Tours
For one-day tours and private day tours, travellers are encouraged to carry only the items required for the day, such as personal documents, water, sun protection, medication, a light jacket and other essential belongings.

Travellers who are passing through the destination and do not have access to a hotel may, where available, use JD Adventure Travel's luggage storage facilities at our offices. Availability should be confirmed in advance.

One-Day Shore Excursions
For one-day shore excursions, we strongly recommend travelling with only a small day bag containing the essentials required during the excursion.

As cruise port calls are usually limited in duration, travelling light helps ensure faster boarding, transfers and movement through port controls.

Cruise Overland and Multi-Day Shore Excursions
For cruise overland programmes and multi-day shore excursions, including journeys such as Machu Picchu and Galápagos, travellers should travel as lightly as possible.

Unless otherwise stated in the confirmed itinerary, these programmes are generally planned around a maximum baggage allowance of approximately 10 kg per traveller.

This is the usual baggage limit adopted for planning these programmes. Where airlines, railway companies or other transport providers impose different mandatory baggage allowances, the applicable supplier restrictions will take precedence and will be communicated to the traveller.

This reduced luggage allowance is recommended because cruise overland programmes often operate within strict timeframes and may involve airports, security procedures, domestic flights, rail services and several transfers.

Travelling light helps reduce delays during check-in, baggage collection, security procedures and transfers, allowing the programme to operate more efficiently.

Any specific baggage allowance applicable to flights, trains or other transport services will be communicated in the final travel documentation.

Multi-Day and Tailor-Made Journeys
For standard multi-day tours and tailor-made journeys, the applicable luggage allowance will depend on the transport services included in the itinerary.

Where domestic or international flights are included, baggage allowances will follow the fare conditions of the relevant airline.

Where rail services are included, the applicable baggage restrictions of the relevant rail operator will apply.

JD Adventure Travel will provide the relevant baggage information in the travel documentation where required.

Machu Picchu Rail Services
Rail services to and from Machu Picchu are subject to specific baggage restrictions imposed by the relevant train operator.

Travellers should therefore travel with a small bag or light hand luggage for the Machu Picchu portion of the journey.

Larger luggage may need to remain at the traveller's hotel or designated storage facility, depending on the itinerary.

The permitted weight, dimensions and type of baggage are determined by the relevant rail operator and may change. JD Adventure Travel will provide the applicable baggage information before travel whenever required.

Excess Luggage
Any charges resulting from baggage exceeding the allowance of an airline, railway company, boat operator or other transport provider will be the responsibility of the traveller.

Where excess baggage cannot be accommodated due to vehicle capacity, safety requirements or supplier restrictions, the traveller may be required to arrange storage or alternative transportation at their own expense.

Personal Belongings
Travellers are responsible for the safekeeping of their personal belongings throughout the journey.

Passports, money, jewellery, electronic devices, medication and other valuable or essential items should remain under the traveller's personal supervision whenever possible and should not normally be placed in stored or unattended luggage.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist with lost property enquiries; however, we cannot guarantee the recovery of items lost or left behind during the journey. This does not exclude any responsibility arising from negligence attributable to JD Adventure Travel or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Children and minors are welcome on many JD Adventure Travel tours and travel programmes. However, age requirements, child fares and participation conditions may vary depending on the destination, activity and third-party services included in the booking.

Travelling with Minors
Travellers under the age of 18 must normally travel with a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult.

Parents, guardians or accompanying adults are responsible for the supervision and wellbeing of minors throughout the journey and for ensuring that each activity selected is appropriate for the child's age, physical ability and individual needs. This does not exclude the safety responsibilities or legal obligations applicable to JD Adventure Travel and its service providers.

Travel Documents
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that minors carry all passports, identification documents, visas, travel authorisations, parental consent documents or other documentation required for the journey.

Requirements may vary depending on the traveller's nationality, destination and whether the minor is travelling with one parent, both parents, a guardian or another responsible adult.

Additional requirements may also apply according to the laws or immigration procedures of the country of departure, transit or destination.

JD Adventure Travel recommends checking the applicable travel and immigration requirements before departure.

Child Fares
Child fares, where available, depend on the conditions established for the individual tour and the suppliers involved.

Airlines, rail companies, hotels, attractions, entrance sites and other suppliers may apply different age categories and pricing policies.

Any applicable child rate will therefore be confirmed according to the specific booking.

Activities and Age Restrictions
Certain activities may be subject to minimum age, height, weight, health or safety requirements.

These may include adventure activities, marine excursions, aerial experiences, trekking, dune buggy activities or other services where participation restrictions apply.

JD Adventure Travel will communicate any known restrictions relevant to the confirmed itinerary.

Where a child is unable to participate in an activity because they do not meet an official, safety or supplier requirement, alternative arrangements cannot always be guaranteed. Any applicable refund will be assessed according to the circumstances, the booking conditions and relevant consumer protection requirements, including whether the restriction was appropriately communicated before booking.

Flights, Trains and Entrance Tickets
Personal details provided for minors must be accurate and match the passport or identification document used for travel.

Flights, rail tickets, Machu Picchu entrance tickets and other named services may be subject to strict requirements regarding passenger information and age categories.

Incorrect dates of birth or identification information may result in additional charges, replacement tickets or refusal of service where amendments are not permitted.

Private and Tailor-Made Travel
Families requiring additional flexibility are encouraged to inform JD Adventure Travel when making their enquiry.

For private and tailor-made journeys, we will make reasonable efforts to adapt timing, transport, accommodation and activities to the needs of families travelling with children, where operationally possible.

Where a tour or travel service is described as private, this generally means that the main guiding and transport services arranged by JD Adventure Travel are reserved exclusively for the traveller or travelling party named in the booking.

Private tours are designed to provide greater flexibility, personalised attention and a more tailored travel experience.

Shared Components
Certain elements of a private tour may still operate on a shared basis where they are provided by independent third-party suppliers or where an exclusive service is not available for that particular component.

These may include:

* Commercial flights;
* Scheduled rail services;
* Regular boat services;
* Airport facilities;
* Entrance sites and attractions;
* Public transport services; and
* Other shared services operated by third-party suppliers.

The use of a shared third-party service does not change the private nature of the guiding or transport services specifically described as private in the confirmed itinerary.

Exclusive Services
Where a particular component is specifically described as private, exclusive or chartered, JD Adventure Travel will arrange that service accordingly, subject to availability and the confirmed booking conditions.

Travellers requiring fully exclusive arrangements for specific services are encouraged to contact JD Adventure Travel before booking so that availability and any additional costs can be confirmed.

Flexibility
Private tours may allow greater flexibility in timing, stops and pacing; however, all services remain subject to opening hours, transport schedules, entrance times, local regulations, safety considerations and the confirmed overall itinerary.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to adapt the experience to the traveller's preferences where operationally possible, provided that such adjustments do not conflict with confirmed reservations, official entry times, supplier schedules or safety requirements.

Prices shown or quoted by JD Adventure Travel are based on the services included in the relevant tour, itinerary or travel programme.

Unless otherwise stated, prices are normally quoted in US Dollars (USD). Online bookings made directly through the JD Adventure Travel website are processed in USD.

Payments in Euros (EUR) or British Pounds Sterling (GBP) may be arranged upon request through a personalised secure payment link, where available. Payments in Peruvian Soles (PEN) may be accepted upon request for one-day tours paid in person at our Paracas office, subject to confirmation.

Price Confirmation
For one-day tours booked directly through the JD Adventure Travel website, the applicable price will be displayed during the booking process.

For multi-day tours, overland journeys and tailor-made travel programmes, the final price will be confirmed once the itinerary, availability and required travel services have been reviewed.

A quotation is valid only for the period stated and may be subject to change until the booking has been confirmed and the required payment or deposit has been received.

Currency Conversion and External Charges
Where payment is made in a currency different from the traveller's card or bank account currency, the traveller's bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate, conversion fee or international transaction charge.

These charges are outside the control of JD Adventure Travel.

Taxes, Entrance Fees and Local Charges
The price of each tour will include the services specifically stated in the confirmed itinerary or product description.

Certain local taxes, airport charges, entrance fees, port fees, conservation fees or other compulsory payments may be payable directly by the traveller where this has been clearly stated before booking.

JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to communicate any known additional compulsory charges in advance.

Supplier Price Changes
Where a multi-day or tailor-made itinerary includes flights, accommodation, rail services, entrance tickets or other third-party services, prices may occasionally change before the booking is confirmed due to supplier availability, fare changes or exchange rate fluctuations.

Once the booking has been confirmed and the required payment has been received, JD Adventure Travel will honour the confirmed price, except where an adjustment is expressly permitted by applicable law or results from a newly imposed government tax, official fee or mandatory charge that could not reasonably have been anticipated at the time of confirmation and may lawfully be passed on to the traveller.

Where such an exceptional adjustment becomes necessary, JD Adventure Travel will communicate it clearly to the traveller as soon as reasonably practicable, explaining the reason, amount and any rights or options available under applicable law.

Pricing Errors
Although JD Adventure Travel takes reasonable care to ensure that published and quoted prices are accurate, genuine administrative, technical or typographical errors may occasionally occur.

If an obvious pricing error is identified before a booking has been confirmed, JD Adventure Travel will notify the traveller and provide the correct price before payment is completed.

If an obvious and material pricing error is discovered after payment, JD Adventure Travel will contact the traveller promptly to explain the situation and offer the option to continue the booking at the correct price or receive a full refund of the amount paid for the affected booking, subject to applicable consumer protection rights.

JD Adventure Travel is committed to providing professional service, clear communication and the fair resolution of genuine concerns arising before or during a confirmed tour or travel programme.

Changes Before or During a Tour
Where unforeseen circumstances require a significant change to a confirmed tour, activity or itinerary, JD Adventure Travel will inform the traveller as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available alternatives.

Depending on the circumstances, the traveller may choose to:

• Accept a suitable alternative tour, activity or itinerary;
• Reschedule the affected service, subject to availability; or
• Request the applicable refund for the affected service in accordance with the relevant booking conditions and consumer protection requirements.

Acceptance of Itinerary Changes
Where a traveller has been clearly informed of a proposed change and voluntarily accepts the revised arrangements, including through written confirmation by email or WhatsApp, the acceptance will be treated as agreement to the revised service.

If the accepted alternative is delivered as agreed, no refund will normally be due solely because the original itinerary or activity was replaced.

This does not prevent a traveller from raising a genuine complaint where the revised service was not delivered as agreed, a material operational failure occurred or applicable consumer protection rights provide otherwise.

Operational Complaint Reporting — 24 Hours
Travellers are required under JD Adventure Travel's operational assistance procedure to report any problem, service failure or significant concern as soon as reasonably possible during the tour or journey.

For the purposes of prompt operational investigation and corrective assistance, concerns should be reported within 24 hours of the incident, and preferably while the affected service is still taking place.

This reporting procedure applies to one-day tours, private tours, shore excursions, multi-day journeys and tailor-made travel programmes.

Complaints During One-Day Tours
If an issue arises during a one-day excursion, the traveller should immediately notify the guide, tour representative or JD Adventure Travel through the available official communication channels.

Our team will make reasonable efforts to assess the circumstances, investigate the reported problem and provide an appropriate solution before the tour finishes wherever possible.

Complaints During Multi-Day Journeys
For multi-day tours and overland programmes, any issue affecting accommodation, transport, activities, guides, schedules or other confirmed services should be reported promptly while the journey is in progress.

Where possible, JD Adventure Travel will coordinate with the relevant supplier or operational team to correct the issue, offer an alternative or make suitable arrangements to preserve the remaining itinerary.

Reporting Procedure and Supporting Evidence
Travellers should contact JD Adventure Travel through the official contact details provided in their booking confirmation or travel documentation, including email, WhatsApp or their designated tour representative.

Where reasonably available, the report should include:

• The traveller's full name and booking reference;
• The affected tour, activity or service;
• The date, location and approximate time of the incident;
• A clear explanation of the concern;
• Relevant photographs, messages or supporting documentation; and
• The assistance or resolution being requested.

The absence of photographs or other documents will not automatically prevent a concern from being considered where the relevant circumstances can be reasonably verified by other means.

Assessment of Refund Requests
A request for a refund does not automatically establish entitlement to reimbursement.

JD Adventure Travel will consider the confirmed itinerary, the services actually provided, any changes communicated and accepted by the traveller, relevant operational records and the nature of the alleged service failure.

Where the confirmed service or an expressly accepted alternative has been delivered as agreed, a refund will not normally be provided solely on the basis of dissatisfaction with a previously accepted change.

Where a material operational failure attributable to JD Adventure Travel is established, we will assess an appropriate remedy, which may include corrective assistance, a suitable alternative, a price adjustment or an applicable refund.

Concerns Reported After 24 Hours
Reports received more than 24 hours after an incident fall outside JD Adventure Travel's standard operational assistance reporting period.

Where a delay in reporting has prevented reasonable investigation, verification or corrective action during the service, this may be taken into account when assessing the request and any appropriate remedy.

A late report will not automatically entitle the traveller to a refund. Equally, the expiry of the 24-hour operational reporting period does not extinguish any complaint rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Complaints Following Completion of the Tour
JD Adventure Travel strongly encourages travellers to raise concerns while the tour is taking place rather than waiting until the journey has been completed.

Where a traveller has completed the confirmed itinerary or knowingly accepted and received an agreed alternative, a subsequent request for reimbursement will be assessed against the services actually delivered and any substantiated failure.

JD Adventure Travel reserves the right to decline refund requests that are not supported by a contractual or legal entitlement, providing an appropriate explanation of its decision.

Formal complaints received after the journey will nevertheless be considered in accordance with applicable consumer protection requirements.

Our Commitment to Fair Resolution
JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to investigate genuine concerns promptly, provide practical assistance and coordinate with the relevant personnel or suppliers when necessary.

Any applicable refund or adjustment will be assessed in accordance with Sections 06 to 09, the circumstances of the affected service and relevant consumer protection requirements.

Formal Complaints and Consumer Rights
Formal complaints may be submitted to info@jd-adventure.com or through any complaints mechanism required by applicable law.

JD Adventure Travel will respond to formal complaints within applicable statutory deadlines and provide an explanation of the outcome.

Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any complaint rights, statutory remedies or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

JD Adventure Travel is committed to providing the services included in each confirmed booking with reasonable care, professionalism and attention to traveller safety.

Where a traveller suffers a loss, disruption or additional cost as a direct result of an error, omission or negligent act attributable to JD Adventure Travel in the organisation or operation of a confirmed service, we will assess the circumstances and provide an appropriate response in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and applicable law.

Services Operated by JD Adventure Travel
JD Adventure Travel accepts responsibility for services directly operated or managed by us to the extent required by applicable law.

Where an operational error attributable to JD Adventure Travel materially affects a confirmed travel service, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the situation, provide an appropriate alternative or offer another suitable resolution according to the circumstances.

Independent Third-Party Suppliers
Certain components of a journey may be provided by independent suppliers, including airlines, railway companies, hotels, boat operators, transport providers, restaurants, local operators and attraction or entrance providers.

JD Adventure Travel carefully selects and coordinates these services; however, each independent supplier remains responsible for the operation of the services under its direct control.

Where a delay, cancellation, service failure, baggage issue or other disruption is caused solely by an independent supplier, JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist the traveller and seek an appropriate solution. Responsibility for the underlying event may remain with the relevant supplier in accordance with its own terms and applicable law.

The involvement of an independent supplier does not automatically exclude any contractual or legal responsibilities that may apply to JD Adventure Travel as the travel organiser.

Circumstances Beyond Our Control
JD Adventure Travel cannot normally accept responsibility for losses or disruption arising solely from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural events, government restrictions, port or airport closures, strikes, civil disturbances, transport disruptions, security incidents or other extraordinary events.

Where such circumstances affect a confirmed itinerary, JD Adventure Travel will act in good faith to minimise disruption and assist the traveller in accordance with the applicable cancellation, force majeure and refund provisions contained in these Terms & Conditions.

This does not exclude any refund, assistance or other remedy required under Sections 07, 08, 09 and 11 or applicable law.

Return to Ship Guaranteed
For one-day shore excursions and multi-day cruise-related programmes, the Return to Ship Guaranteed commitment described in Section 08 applies.

Where a passenger misses the vessel as a direct result of an error, negligence or operational failure attributable to JD Adventure Travel, we will arrange and cover the reasonable and necessary expenses required to assist the passenger in rejoining the cruise ship at the next feasible port of call where embarkation is authorised.

Where a missed departure results from an independent airline or other external disruption, JD Adventure Travel will provide active assistance, coordinate with the relevant suppliers and cruise line, and make reasonable efforts to help the traveller rejoin the vessel, in accordance with Section 08 and applicable legal obligations.

Traveller Responsibility
JD Adventure Travel will not normally be responsible for losses or additional costs resulting from:

* Incorrect or incomplete information provided by the traveller;
* Failure to obtain the required passport, visa or travel documents;
* Late arrival or failure to attend a confirmed service;
* Failure to follow reasonable safety or operational instructions;
* Personal decisions to withdraw from an activity or journey; or
* Personal belongings that are lost, misplaced or left unattended, except where liability arises under applicable law.

Personal Injury and Safety
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Where an incident involving injury, loss or damage occurs and JD Adventure Travel may be legally responsible, the matter will be handled in accordance with applicable law, the circumstances of the incident and any relevant liability insurance cover.

Limitation of Losses
Where JD Adventure Travel may be responsible for a loss, any compensation or remedy will be assessed according to the nature of the service affected, the actual loss reasonably incurred and the applicable legal requirements.

JD Adventure Travel will not normally be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that are not reasonably connected to the confirmed travel services, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in this section limits the specific refund commitments, passenger assistance obligations or Return to Ship Guaranteed provisions expressly established elsewhere in these Terms & Conditions.

JD Adventure Travel respects the privacy of its travellers and collects personal information only where reasonably necessary to manage bookings, arrange travel services, comply with supplier or authority requirements and deliver the confirmed itinerary.

Information We May Collect
Depending on the service booked, we may require personal information such as full names, passport or identification details, nationality, dates of birth, contact details, accommodation information, travel arrangements, passenger weight for certain aviation services and relevant dietary, accessibility or medical assistance requirements. Not all information is required for every booking.

How Personal Information Is Used
Personal information is used to respond to enquiries, confirm reservations, issue tickets and travel documents, arrange accommodation and transport, coordinate tours and entrance permits, communicate essential travel updates and comply with applicable operational, safety and legal requirements.

Sharing Information with Travel Suppliers
Where necessary to provide the booked services, relevant passenger information may be shared with airlines, railway companies, hotels, transport providers, local operators, tourist attractions, competent authorities and other organisations directly involved in the travel arrangements.

We aim to share only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant service. Independent travel suppliers may process and retain information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable legal obligations.

Protecting Personal Information
JD Adventure Travel applies appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, loss or unlawful disclosure. Access to passenger information under our control is restricted to authorised personnel.

Data Retention and Deletion
Operational passenger information held under JD Adventure Travel's control is normally deleted from our operational systems within 30 days after completion of the booked travel service, unless a longer retention period is necessary to comply with legal obligations, maintain required financial records or address outstanding claims or disputes.

This operational deletion period does not necessarily apply to information independently retained by airlines, railway companies, hotels, payment providers or other third-party organisations under their own legal responsibilities and privacy policies.

Further details about data retention and deletion are provided in our Privacy Policy.

Accuracy of Passenger Information
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that the personal information supplied for their bookings is accurate, complete and up to date. Incorrect or incomplete details may prevent the issuance of tickets, confirmation of reservations or access to certain travel services.

Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy
For detailed information about how JD Adventure Travel collects, processes, shares, stores and protects personal information, including your data protection rights, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies, website analytics, tracking technologies and consent preferences is available in our separate Cookie Policy.

Where applicable, the processing of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection legislation. These Terms & Conditions govern the contractual arrangements relating to our travel services.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Peru, where JD Adventure Travel is established and operates.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, limit or restrict any mandatory consumer rights that may apply to the traveller under applicable law and that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where a concern or dispute arises, JD Adventure Travel and the traveller are encouraged to first attempt to resolve the matter directly, fairly and in good faith before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, any further legal proceedings will be handled in accordance with the applicable laws and jurisdiction, while respecting any mandatory consumer protections or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

JD Adventure Travel communicates with travellers through the contact details provided at the time of booking, including email, WhatsApp and other agreed communication channels.

Traveller's Responsibility to Maintain Communication
It is the traveller's essential responsibility to maintain active and reliable communication with JD Adventure Travel before and throughout their confirmed tour or travel programme.

Travellers must provide accurate and up-to-date contact information, ensure that their email address and telephone or WhatsApp number remain accessible, and regularly check messages relating to their booking.

Maintaining communication with JD Adventure Travel is particularly important for cruise passengers, multi-day travellers and those participating in programmes involving flights, trains, scheduled transport or time-sensitive services.

Travellers are expected to respond promptly to important operational messages and requests for information where a timely response is necessary to confirm or deliver the booked services.

Travel Information and Notifications
Important travel information may include booking confirmations, meeting instructions, pick-up times, itinerary updates, travel documents, tickets, operational changes and emergency information.

Where JD Adventure Travel sends important information to the email address, WhatsApp number or other contact details provided by the traveller, the traveller is responsible for reviewing that information and contacting us promptly if anything is unclear or incorrect.

Time-Sensitive Travel Arrangements
Some operational changes may require an immediate or prompt response from the traveller, particularly where transport schedules, meeting arrangements, flights, trains, cruise port times or other time-sensitive services are involved.

Failure to maintain communication or respond to essential travel instructions may result in missed meeting times, delays, difficulties confirming services or other avoidable disruptions.

Where such consequences arise directly from the traveller's failure to provide accurate contact information, monitor agreed communication channels or respond to essential instructions within a reasonable timeframe, any resulting costs or losses will normally be the traveller's responsibility, subject to applicable law.

Communication During the Tour
During an active one-day tour, shore excursion, multi-day journey or tailor-made programme, travellers should remain reasonably contactable through the agreed communication channels and follow the instructions provided by their designated guide or JD Adventure Travel representative.

If a traveller becomes temporarily unreachable or experiences difficulties accessing email, telephone or WhatsApp services, they should inform JD Adventure Travel through another available communication channel as soon as reasonably possible.

Updating Contact Information
Any changes to the traveller's email address, telephone number, WhatsApp number or other relevant contact details must be communicated to JD Adventure Travel as soon as possible.

For urgent operational matters, travellers should use the contact details provided in their booking confirmation or final travel documentation.

JD Adventure Travel's Communication Commitment
JD Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes, travel instructions and urgent operational information promptly through the agreed contact channels.

Where important information has been correctly sent to the contact details provided by the traveller, JD Adventure Travel will not normally be responsible for communication failures resulting from incorrect, inactive, unavailable or unmonitored contact details attributable to the traveller.

This does not exclude responsibility for communication errors attributable to JD Adventure Travel or any obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable legislation.

By making a booking with JD Adventure Travel, the traveller confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, together with any specific booking conditions communicated before confirmation for the selected tour, travel service or travel programme.

Acceptance of Booking Conditions
Completion of payment, payment of a required deposit or express confirmation of a booking constitutes acceptance of the applicable Terms & Conditions, provided that the relevant conditions have been made available to the traveller before the booking is confirmed.

Where a booking is completed through the JD Adventure Travel website, the traveller will be required to confirm acceptance of the applicable Terms & Conditions during the checkout process.

These Terms & Conditions form part of the agreement between the traveller and JD Adventure Travel for the confirmed travel services.

Bookings Made on Behalf of Other Travellers
Where a booking is made on behalf of more than one traveller, the person making the reservation confirms that they are authorised to act on behalf of all travellers included in the booking and that they have made the relevant Terms & Conditions and booking information available to them.

The person making the reservation is responsible for providing accurate passenger information and communicating relevant booking instructions, travel requirements and operational updates to the other members of the travelling party.

Specific Tour and Supplier Conditions
Certain tours, destinations and travel services may be subject to additional conditions, including specific cancellation deadlines, non-refundable tickets, supplier restrictions, safety requirements and official admission regulations.

These specific conditions will be communicated in the relevant tour description, quotation or booking information before the reservation is confirmed.

Machu Picchu Circuit Availability and Ticket Purchase
Where a booking includes Machu Picchu, the traveller acknowledges the circuit allocation and automatic ticket purchase procedure described in Section 14.

Subject to any specific circuit arrangements expressly agreed before booking, JD Adventure Travel is authorised to purchase the best officially available circuit according to the stated priority of Circuit 2, followed by Circuit 3 and Circuit 1, without requesting additional approval for each alternative.

A particular circuit cannot be guaranteed until its official entrance ticket has been successfully issued. Any applicable restrictions on ticket changes or refunds will be governed by the relevant official conditions and mandatory legal requirements.

Priority of Specific Booking Conditions
Any specific conditions communicated and agreed before confirmation for a particular tour, travel programme, destination or third-party service will apply together with these general Terms & Conditions.

If there is an inconsistency between these general Terms & Conditions and valid specific conditions agreed for a particular booking, the specific booking conditions will take precedence to the extent of that inconsistency, subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer protection rights.

Traveller Acknowledgement
Travellers are encouraged to review these Terms & Conditions, the applicable tour description and any specific booking restrictions before completing their reservation.

If clarification is required regarding any booking conditions, travellers should contact JD Adventure Travel before confirming their reservation.

Applicable Consumer Rights
Nothing in this acceptance provision excludes or restricts any statutory consumer rights, contractual remedies or other protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable legislation.
