Discover Tambo Colorado, one of the best-preserved Inca archaeological sites on Peru’s southern coast, located inland from Pisco in a striking desert valley. This private tour offers the opportunity to explore an impressive adobe complex where original traces of red, white and yellow pigments can still be seen on walls built centuries ago.
With your private guide, learn how Tambo Colorado functioned as an important administrative and military centre within the Inca road network, and how its architecture was adapted to the dry coastal environment. Ideal for history enthusiasts, archaeology lovers and curious travellers, this experience offers a quieter and more in-depth look at Peru’s Inca heritage away from the country’s busier archaeological sites.
