Tour Itinerary
Hotel Pick-up in Paracas
Your private guide and driver will collect you from your hotel or agreed location in Paracas approximately 15 minutes before the confirmed departure time. After a brief introduction, begin the journey inland towards the archaeological site of Tambo Colorado.
Scenic Drive to Tambo Colorado
Travel approximately 60–70 km from Paracas, with a driving time of around 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on traffic and local road conditions. Along the way, enjoy changing landscapes as the coastal desert gradually gives way to inland valleys, agricultural areas and dramatic desert scenery.
Arrival at Tambo Colorado
Upon arrival, begin your private guided exploration of Tambo Colorado, one of the best-preserved Inca adobe complexes on Peru’s southern coast. Your guide will introduce the historical importance of the site and explain its role within the Inca administrative and transport network.
Guided Archaeological Visit
Walk through the principal sectors of the complex, including its plazas, ceremonial areas, residential and administrative enclosures. Learn about the construction techniques used by the Incas, the organisation of the site and the remarkable traces of red, white and yellow pigments that remain visible on some of the adobe walls.
Site Museum

- Bus Connections & Other Activities: If you have a bus departure, transfer or another independently booked activity after the tour, please inform us in advance and provide the scheduled time so we can advise on suitable timing.
- Personal Belongings: Please keep valuables with you throughout the tour and check the vehicle carefully before leaving at the end of the experience.
Cancellation Policy
- Free Cancellation: Cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure to receive a full refund.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable.
- No-Shows: Guests who are not available at the confirmed hotel or meeting point at the agreed collection time are considered a no-show and are not eligible for a refund.
- Late Arrival: Significant delays caused by guests may require the itinerary to be shortened or adjusted. Missed visits resulting from late arrival are non-refundable.
- Tambo Colorado Access: The archaeological site and museum are subject to official opening conditions and local regulations. If access is unexpectedly unavailable, we will offer a suitable alternative, reschedule the visit or provide a refund where applicable.
- Weather & Road Conditions: If the tour cannot operate safely due to weather, road conditions or instructions from local authorities, we will offer the option to reschedule, adjust the itinerary or issue a refund, where applicable.
- Route Changes: Minor changes to the order of the itinerary due to traffic or operational requirements do not normally qualify for a refund.
- Onward Connections: Guests with bus departures, transfers or other independently booked activities after the tour should inform us in advance. We will advise on suitable timing, but missed onward services caused by personal delays are not refundable.
